Sherry Andersen, personal historian, started recording family stories for her friends of their aging parents as a hobby 25 years ago. Her friends were so impressed with Sherry's unique ability to capture their family stories that they encouraged her to offer this priceless gift to others by creating a business... thus the birth of Peek of the Past.
Through her thoughtful manner and attentive listening skills, Sherry is able to create a safe and comfortable
environment in which the subject feels free to open up and share their
life stories.
Sherry learned the skill of diplomacy and the art of tactfulness at an
early age from living in foreign
countries where her father was with the American Embassy. Always being
in the public arena professionally, Sherry owned a fitness center that
specialized in seniors followed by working in a retirement community.
Sherry relates well with people of all ages and backgrounds but has the
utmost respect and admiration for seniors and the lives they have
lived. Her own father is 90 years old and their greatest pleasure in
spending time together is recapturing the past through stories and
songs. Neither of them ever get tired of what they consider to be the
jewels of life, that being Life Stories.
